ANIKU 水道橋
At ANIKU Suidobashi, savor special thick-cut salted tongue, fresh offal cuts like shimacho, and balanced tasting courses in a calm, modern setting.
01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
Watching cuts sizzle and take on color over the tabletop grill is one of the distinct pleasures of a yakiniku meal. Located in Suidobashi, ANIKU Suidobashi (ANIKU 水道橋) centers its dining experience around signature thick-cut beef and thoroughly prepared offal.
Among the most eye-catching menu offerings are limited-quantity selections such as special thick-cut salted tongue, thick-cut skirt steak (harami), and hanging tender (sagari). Despite their generous thickness, the slices remain tender and bite through cleanly, releasing deep beef flavor accented simply by salt or light seasoning. The kitchen also serves an offal combination platter that brings together items like shimacho (striped large intestine), marucho (small intestine), premium tripe (jo-mino), and liver, offering springy textures and sweet, rich fat.
For a structured overview of the menu, diners can choose an omakase course that covers yakiniku classics such as beef tongue, kalbi short rib, and loin. Individual cuts are tailored to highlight their character, including thinly sliced rib roast seared briefly over the heat, or loin and kalbi paired with wasabi. After rich sauce-marinated meats, meals typically wrap up with cold noodles in a clean broth with firm noodles, or a bowl of spicy yukgaejang gukbap.
The dining space is modern and tidy, appointed with counter seating along with conventional tables and private rooms. Because all seats are non-smoking and ventilation keeps lingering smoke to a minimum, the setting suits casual after-work dinners, dates, and small gatherings with friends. An extensive drink selection including beer, wine, and cocktails rounds out the evening alongside the grilled cuts.
